Speaking as one who did, at first, think #4 (and then correct that to "I don't have enough evidence to say that. If it's true and legitimate, then that's fantastic. If not..."). it's just that at this point, I have a hard time believing word one the government says about terrorism.

I was also, and unrelatedly, reminded of Mike Casper, a very minor character from The West Wing. In one appearance, he claims that "the FBI's failures are public, and our successes are private." In another, he insists that "we don't take curtain calls." Seems to me, that's not as true anymore.

I suggest that polls of this nature should be configured in such a way so that the exact person selecting each result would not be visible to the general public, for the following reason:

[x] lack of trust in the government.

Polls can be configured so the results can only be seen by the person posting the original poll.
