Decisions decisions

So, to try to relax and unwind a bit, I'm trying to figure out what I want for my next BPAL order.

For one thing, I seem to have temporarily misplaced my list of things I'd already ordered, and wanted to order next go 'round. Which sucks, because then I'll have to go back through the beds of tempation and pick out six scents to try next time, although at least I shoud be able to look at my previus order to see what I got last time without much difficulty.

(Edit: Woohoo! Found my list. Which has exactly 6 scents that I'd jotted down from looking through the site... plus two I'd had recommended as maybe being something I'd like. Feh.)

I also made the huuuge mistake of looking at the limited edition scents page. This sucks because a) You can't order imps of them, so you're basically stuck putting in an order for a more expensive bottle and hoping you like it, and b) They're time-limited, which means that I have to decide what to order in the next few days (at least for the Halloweenie stuff) or just not get it, period. *whine* But there are things that sound scrumptious!

Some of the ones I've seen that sound the best are:

SAMHAIN 2005
Revisited! All the depth, beauty and darkness of All Hallows Eve. Truly the scent of autumn itself -- damp woods, fir needle, and black patchouli with the gentlest touches of warm pumpkin, clove, nutmeg, allspice, sweet red apple and mullein.

SUGAR SKULL 2005
Revisited! Vibrant with the joy and sweetness of life in death! A blend of five sugars, lightly dusted with candied fruits.

And then the Pumpkin Patch set, which has to be ordered as a set so I probably won't get it (too expensive for something I may not like at all, or may only like say one scent out of the five), but which sounds yummy (at least the scents I'm not clueless about)...

Pumpkin with apple cider and mulling spice.
Pumpkin with cocoa, hazelnut and walnut.
Pumpkin and pomegranate.
Pumpkin with sandalwood and orris.
Pumpkin with five woods, English ivy and galangal root.

Gah.

Then that's even before getting into the Yuletide stuff, which lasts until January (the Halloween stuff you have to order by November 15)...

GINGERBREAD POPPET 2005
Revisited! Warm, cozy gingerbread spiced with nutmeg, clove and cinnamon.

HEARTH 2005
Thoroughly revisited. This year’s Hearth is warmer, sweeter, and more traditionally comforting. This is the scent of candied chestnuts, buttered, covered in brown sugar and honey, alongside the scent of cedar smoke and soft pine.

SUGAR COOKIE 2005
Revisited! The Devil’s Bake Sale has come back to town.

And those are just the best-sounding. *weep*

Any suggestions/comments?

Oh,and as far as the previous Imps go.. I've pretty much decided against Greed or Lust. (That probably just sounds wrong...) The Greed is one of the frimps (freebie samples), and just didn't really grab me. The Lust is the one that smells a lot like baby-powder on me, and while it's a pleasant enough scent, it's *so* overpoweringly baby-powder-ish on me that I think I could get much the same effect by, well, just sprinkling myself with baby powder.

Still undecided on just how much I like some of the others, although I've been trying them some more. Some of the scents seem different from I remember when I tried them at first - I'm not sure if it's because my nose is less stuffed and some of the other scents were "blocked" before, or if maybe even my body chemistry is different enough when not especially sick that it changes the scent of the oils on my body.

I may offer up the two imps I've decided against to a new home, if I can figure out how to send them along without worrying about leaking/breaking. Hrm.

Mwahahaha, already done.

Yes, I have no self-control.

Will post again shortly, as soon as I finish editing a blog entry for work. Urgh.
