Amazon game day...

For anyone interested, here's the lineup for the gold box:

6AM PDT (only like 15 minutes remaining) - F.E.A.R. 3 for Xbox 360, PS3 and PC
8AM ditto - The ultimate Grand Theft Auto IV game experience (so some sort of GTA IV game, duh)
11AM - A high replay value fitness game blabbity blah (blah)
1PM - An enhanced port of the 2008 hit for Wii (no idea on this one)
4PM - Prepare yourself to reenter the tournament in the triumphant return of Mortal Kombat.
6PM - Get "ready to roll" with this epic strategy game (??? Katamari of some flavor maybe?)
8PM - The ultimate collection of the best-selling Blizzard strategy games. (I'm guessing the collection for Diablo, Starcraft, or Warcraft III. Would Diablo count as a strategy game?)

So there. That's for those of you who might be interested but won't get the chance to check very much.

Oh, and the main deal of the day is:

38% Off on Zumba Fitness for Wii and Xbox 360

Whee. :p

Re 6PM: Maybe a D&D-type strategy game? Or, hell, Risk?

Maybe, although the next comment also looks probable. I guess we'll find out later! (If I remember to even check. Nothing on the list looks like something I must get, and don't already have.)

I'm guessing the 6pm one is Rock of Ages. I need to read some reviews on that to see if its worth getting.

I saw the Giant Bomb video review -- well, the first 12 minutes of it -- and then this one. Looks like fun, although everyone says it gets a bit repetitive.

6AM: FEAR 3 (excuse me, F.E.3.R.), already got it.
8AM: Already got them, except maybe some expansion, but if I want it, I'll get it on Steam.
11AM: Maybe, depends on what it is - I got the Wii to exercise after all.
1PM: Maybe something Super Mario?
4PM: If it's the most recent MK, it's 360/PS3 only. :P
6PM: Katamari would be nice, but I haven't heard of a new one on the horizon, and I get like every gaming magazine ever. I doubt that it's Rock of Ages, that's a recent indie game, probably not something Amazon would sell. My wild-ass guess is Super Monkey Ball Step & Roll...although I'd be amused if that's true, since that would pretty much redefine "epic strategy game" to an all-new low...
8PM: Maybe a combo deal of both Warcraft & Starcraft Battle Chest editions? At any rate, already got 'em. Twice, in the case of Starcraft - SC2 CE came with original SC on a USB dogtag.

And Zumba - looked vaguely interesting, then I saw (a) the price, and (b) the cheesy "Wii controller belt" they were using. I seriously doubt the kind of fattie that needs exercise games could fit their belt on to begin with - and I speak from personal experience...

Just posted the actual games in another comment, if you hadn't already seen 'em.

For anyone curious, the ones that hadn't yet been revealed at the time I wrote this (so all but the first) were:

Grand Theft Auto IV: Complete
Cyberbike for Wii
No More Heroes: Heroes' Paradise
Mortal Kombat Kollectors' Edition for PS3 and XBox 360
Starcraft Battle Chest
Warcraft 3 Battle Chest

So there you go!

Yeah, I was actually working from home, and caught most of them - although none of them interested me. The bike, maybe, if they added a ton more structural support - none of the Wii fitness gear goes over 350 lbs, and that bike only goes to 250. No More Heroes, ehh, already got the older version, don't need a remake.

And they got the quote wrong on the Starcraft deal! It's "ready to roll *out*", if they were trying to quote a Terran siege tank.
