So since it looks like LJ should hopefully still be teetering onward at this point, does anyone have any suggestions?

As noted throughout the NPR list that I just posted, we've already done some off that list, so I'm thinking of mining it for more. From that list:

desdenova suggests A Canticle for Liebowitz. I haven't read that, so can't speak as to the appropriatitude. Anyone else have any comments about it?

I could also see us doing some of the SF classics like The Time Machine or something, since we've done some horror/fantasy classics.

I would love to suggest Watership Down But OMG way too long.

Others previously suggested include:

Alice in Wonderland
Howl's Moving Castle
The Secret of NIMH
Something by Christopher Moore, though reaction to this seemed.... mixed.
Greywalker by Kat Richardson (in the Urban Supernatural vein, although personally if we were doing something like that, I'd rather do Mercy Thompson, something from The Hollows series, or Seanan McGuire honestly. :p )
The Jungle Book or maaaaybe Just So Stories by Rudyard Kipling, although these seemed... underwhelming in any response. :p
Bambi by Felix Salten, don't think there was much if anything yay or nay so far.

Also Moar Graphic Novels, which are good in general, a few specific suggestions being:

The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen
Astro City
Queen and Country
Marvel of some flavor

So. Any comments again on the old ones, comments on the new ones, or new suggestions to throw into the ring?
