Parasha: Jekyll and Hyde May 5th reading

*looks at chapter title* So it's Hyde and seek then? *reads further* *groan* I guess it is...

"and sat down to dinner without relish." Why the complaints? I usually have dinner without relish, or perhaps without any condiments at all! Sheesh.

Sheesh, think Jekyll has enough letters after his name? M.D. is a given. D.C.L. is apparently "Doctor of Civil Law," L.L.D. is a Doctor of Law, and F.R.S. is apparently a Fellow of the Royal Society. It's a wonder that Jekyll has any spare time to get up to anything!

At least now we know how Utterson knew of Jekyll at the end of the story, but do you think such a will could POSSIBLY be any more suspicious? Hell, he'd probably be better off just transforming as much of his wealth to cash as possible, and hiding it somewhere.

For some reason, I was thinking of "Layton" when I read "Lanyon," and was going to say "yes, Lanyon will know what to do, you'll have to solve about ten of his riddles first..." but no. Damn.

"All these were points againt him"... what, that he's small, and pale and such? Good grief. I mean yeah, I'm not going to argue that he's a wonderful person given what we've already heard about the little girl, but yeesh.

And from Wiki Pete's list of Latin phrases: "pede poena claudo punishment comes limping That is, retribution comes slowly but surely. From Horace, Odes, 3, 2, 32."

The schedule.
