Parasha: Good Omens, March 9th reading

Right, while I'm down here, I should do this. Must resist siren call of game...

Hah! I like the insight about the, ah, types of magazines that talk about having orgasms.

"the really important thing to be was yourself, just as hard as you could." That's pure Pratchett.

And you know, if only more management training and teamwork exercises were really really like this.... I'm sure so many people would be happier for it. And probably better managers/team players. Or at least better in surviving the business world.

I will admit though, just for once I'd like a bad-ass angel who is angelic, but in a not-so-mushy way! If that's even possible. *sigh* I mean, you half expect Aziraphale to break out in a rendition of "My Favorite Things" or something. Except that he apparently doesn't like the Sound of Music.

It's a bit of a shame that this book wasn't made into a movie, because some parts of it just seem so cinematographic. Like the delivery man edging in and edging out in the middle of the hotel. Or maybe it's just me!

(Plus I guess it'd make a better mini-series or something than a movie.)

Anyhow, for a book about the Last Days and all, there has been a distinct shortage of Anti-Christ! But that's just as well.
Oh, right: the schedule!

To pick a minor nit, Aziraphale has never SEEN all of The Sound of Music (he wants to it seems, see next sentence). He even chastises Crowley for trying to tempt him with it. Then they decide to be sober.

I'm also pretty sure you've spelled Azeriphale's name wrong up there (though I ran with it), but I don't have the book handy being halfway round the damn planet.

Nah, I checked it against the book. And double-checked when you made the comment, it seems to be right. And tricky to remember!
