Decisions decisions...

Okay, so I'm looking in my personalized Amazon Gold Box, which I don't buy from *quite* as often anymore, but then today lo and behold, it's suddenly got multiple things in it that I could possibly use/enjoy:

-Personal Trainer: Cooking - a DS "game" (or non-game) that is supposed to have over 200 recipes, videos on various steps of preparation, etc etc. I've kept meaning to get more into cooking and learn to make things more better, so this'd be a help... I'm just worried that I might not get around to it (or most of the recipes will just not suit my really picky palate, or lack thereof) so it'd end up just being a waste.

-X-Box 360 Quick Charge Kit - A kit that lets you charge/recharge two packs of batteries for the 360 controller, and swap one in as needed. The only thing is, my 360 playing tends to go in cycles, so I may not always get that much use out of it. (Although overall, it'd probably see decent use.)

-X-Box 360 Play & Charge Kit - Another recharging kit, but this one apparently turns your controller into a wired controller as it charges the batteries. From comments, it sounds like it's a bit slower than the other kit, and would be annoying if you realize you're out of juice as you're trying to play, then you have to have your controller connected for a while as you charge up. On the other hand, it is cheaper than the other.

-Touch the Dark (Cassandra Palmer book 1) by Karen Chance - Another Urban Supernatural book, and I keep seeing the Cassandra Palmer books later in the series pop up in recommendations, Gold Box, "people that bought this also bought...", and so on. So I'm kinda curious about it. On the other hand, while the overall score for the book is good... I've learned that on Amazon, that doesn't necessarily mean much. And the negative reviews that *are* there are making me wary.

-Disgaea DS - On the one hand, I have this for the PS2, and it doesn't look like it's added all *that* much. On the other hand, Much Love for Disgaea. Not my absolute favorite game of all time, but still hella fun, and it might be fun to have it on a handheld system. But at almost 30 bucks, I'm still tending to lean toward "not worth it."

Which brings us to...:

Poll #1347829 Help me consume!

So what should I buy? (arguments welcome in comments)

Personal Trainer: Cooking
1(14.3%)
Xbox 360 Quick Charge Kit
4(57.1%)
Xbox 360 Play & Charge Kit
0(0.0%)
Touch the Dark
1(14.3%)
Disgaea DS
1(14.3%)

Yeah yeah, I know, it sounds lame to use a poll to select a purchase that's for me. But a) I don't promise to buy the top pick, and b) really I'm mostly interested in the comments, like if someone's read the Cassandra Palmer book and can give a recommendation, or if they've used the cooking application, etc etc. The poll's just sorta there for extra fun and a kickstart to the conversation. ;) Although who knows, I might just go by what y'all pick. If it suits me.

We have personal trainer cooking. It has tons and tons of recipes in it. It is very instructional on how to fix things. It has a cool function where you can put in what you have on hand and it will give you recipes you can make.

Reviews for Disgaea DS were pretty weak. ISTR it's missing voice acting, and doesn't add anything new really? This is a shame, because when Disgaea first came out, it seemed like it screamed out for a DS port.

PSP version was OK, I bought that for my wife for late nights in lab.
