In a Nutshell: BPAL (Endymion, Shattered)

Alright, these are the last two of the order that I still have to review. Then I have to get around to wrapping them all up in a post to bitches_of_bpal at some point...

Endymion - A sweet, wistful blend of d'Anjou pear, Lily of the Valley, bois du rose and white musk.

Unfortunately, I couldn't pick up much of the pear at any stage. In the bottle, in smelled mostly sweetly floral (I seem to be using those words a lot in the scents I'm reviewing lately, weird). Once on the skin, a woody scent also came out a bit, I'm assuming a mixture of the bois du rose and the lily of the valley, but I'm not familiar enough with them to be sure. This stayed mostly the same through dry-down. Pleasant, but not breathtaking.

Shattered - A scent as sharp as glass shards, and as brittle as a broken heart. The formula came to me - quite literally - in a dream, and is named after, and created in memory of, the last poem that I ever wrote… almost ten years ago to the day. A blend of white champagne notes, grapefruit, lotus, slivered mint and crystalline aquatic blooms.

For one of the freebie imps, this was surprisingly nice, although not nice enough that I'd want a vial of it. In the bottle I could mostly smell the grapefruit, and on wet, that was still the main note, although just the bitter part came out more strongly. As it dried down, more of the floral and aquatic notes came through, although the bitterness and citrus...ness... of the grapefruit still hung around as well. A nice blend, but as I said, not enough to really grab me for good. Sorry, Shattered!
