Did one of you break my friends' page?

I haven't been able to read my friends page on LJ all day today, because each time I try to load it up, it totally freezes up not only the friends' page, but any other Netscape tabs/windows I have open, so that I have to totally kill the process in the task manager.

It seems to be choking on something from flickr.com, so if one of y'all has something imbedded directly from that, could you please put it under a cut, or something?

Given that I moved the pictures from flickr to photobucket, I suspect you're having a rendering issue with a JPG.

Especially since nobody else is having it.

I've just cut both images.

Try now?

Damnit, now it's just giving me an error and the whole "we have to shut this shit down, want us to bitch to Microsoft about it?" dialogue when I try to open that page.

I really should upgrade to Firefox, but damn I don't want the hassle of trying to migrate bookmarks.

What hassle? When you start Firefox, it asks you if you want to import all your bookmarks from IE or Opera or any other browser it detects installed.

Finally bit the bullet and upgraded then and... wow. That was unbelievably quick and painless. o_O

It even imported the stuff so that it can automatically fill in the rest of a url I type if it's one I've visited before, and stuff. o_O

When you installed Firefox, you also upgraded Netscape. They share your profile and there is only one gecko engine installed, which both use. You could also install Mozilla and it would do the same.

What would happen if I were to uninstall Netscape then? Would it keep the settings with Firefox? (I'm suspecting yes, but want to make sure, in case I do decide to free up the space.)

It won't touch your profile. Even if you uninstalled them both, it only removes things that the installer put there, which isn't profiles. Those are created by the application when you run ir.
