Parasha: May

Alright, here was the stuff we already had under discussion:

Alice in Wonderland
Secret of NIMH
some vague Urban Supernatural
The Jungle Book (or Just So Stories)
One of the James Herriot books
Astro City
Queen and Country
Bone
Marvel TP of some flavor

Remind me if I missed anything somehow. I think Astro City and Alice in Wonderland had the most preferences offhand, but... discussion? Any other suggestions? (And yes, next month I really really REALLY need to remember to open up discussion EARLIER so we can hash some stuff out about them.)

"Soon I Will Be Invincible" by Austin Grossman!

I'd like to nominate "Expendable" by James Alan Gardner as well, but it looks like that one might be hard to get ahold of by this point, so probably not a good idea =P

I'll probably chuck Soon I Will Be Invincible (which I know nothing about!) on the list, but possibly for next month rather than this month, since time is short (again). I also need to remember to add some of the early sci-fi classics, like Time Machine.

It's a parody/deconstruction of the superhero genre. Mainly the Marvel and DC universes (of course.) In tone i guess it's kind of a mashup of the Incredibles and Watchmen.

I do want to get two months ahead, but might just go ahead and do one book for now, then immediately start discussion on book(s) for the next month or two... before I have a chance to forget/procrastinate.
