It's even more horrifying than I'd imagined.

And yet enticing...

Actually, I feel robbed. Last time I went to KFC, the skin wasn't even crispy! It was a soggy, greasy mess. And that was, well, the last time I went to KFC. Some years ago now.

I know, I feel somewhat ashamed to admit that this sandwich actually sounds... tasty, or at least somewhat tasty. (I mean, except for the "special sauce" and such, which meh.) I don't know that I'd actually ever order one, especially since I'm trying to seriously cut down on fast food and cook more food myself, but still...

Hell, I'm seriously thinking about making myself one RIGHT NOW.

(I'm all salad'ed out for the week, Friday is my usual "get to be bad" day, and I love fried chicken skin.)

Yeah, I'm not sure that explanation would fly with Annette. Who is coming home today, finally. Whee!

The main thing keeping me from making one of these things to try it is the fact that I'd then have like five pieces of skinless KFC chicken to face down. Along with whatever other sandwich fillers were sacrificed in the making of the new sandwich.

I took a bite. Then I took another one. Your first instinct might be to barf, but this is one amazing sandwich. No sarcasm. No irony. It's not far off from what the Chinese do with Peking duck.

(grin) Yeah, this is all about why Beijing Duck, done fresh and right, is just *awesome*.
