Parasha: start-up

Alright, since there seems to be at least some interest (and I'm hoping to pick up more along the way), here's how it is for now. All of this is of course open to changing depending on what the participants actually want, I'm just declaring some stuff for now to get the ball rolling.

-I'll continue to use the term Parasha since it seems to work out well. And I'll try to tag all the related posts as such.

-The book for this month's Parasha is A Night in the Lonesome October by Roger Zelazny. Reading, re-reading, whatever... it's all good. This book has the benefit of having obvious reading divisions, as well. (If you haven't read it before, trust me on this one.)

-My intention is for this to be fairly informal, so if you only want to peripherally participate, or don't yet have the book (since this was brought up really late) and want to get it then catch up, that's fine.

-For now, I figure I'll make a post for each day, with my own discussion if I have any, and then others can discuss in comments. This is one of the big ones up for being changed, it could get its own community if it warrants it, it could even be taken off LJ to a mailing list or something if that's what people wanted. *shrugs* But that's how I'll do it for now, anyhow.

-Since the first day of reading is today, I'll start discussions tomorrow.

-Suggestions are of course also welcome for possible books for future months. In theory, something actually that fits in with the month in question somehow would be nice, but that might be asking a bit much. So far, the only other book I've even really thought about would be Pratchett's Night Watch for May, so...

-Um... I think that does it? If there's anything I've forgotten, lemme know!
